Childrens' Local History Group in Clonmel Library (8 - 12 years)

The recently formed Children`s Local History Group in Clonmel Library is off to a flying start. We are learning about The River Suir at the moment. The importance of the river as a means of access, defence, commerce and recreation etc down through the ages. All children are welcome to come along and take part in researching and learning about their own area.
Meetings every Wednesday 4.00 - 4.45pm. Free of charge.

Book Clubs

Clonmel

The Book Invaders meet every second Tuesday from 4-5 p.m.
Next Meetings: (7 - 9 years on 16th Jan at 4.00pm) & (10 - 12 years on 23rd Jan at 4.00pm) every 2 weeks.
All children are welcome to come along and learn more about their favourite authors, select some new titles and take part in a quiz!

Thurles

The Bookaroos is the club for 7-9 year olds, and Books ‘R Us is for 10-12 year olds. Each club meets once a month, on a Wednesday at 4 p.m., to discuss books that are chosen by library staff. Children complete a book review for each title they’ve read and get the chance to air their opinion! All children are welcome to come along and discover new titles and authors.

Books ‘R Us next meet on Wednesday, February 14th at 4 p.m. and the Bookaroos next meeting is Wednesday, February 21st at 4 p.m
