Thurles Library presents the new Wood of Life exhibition. This is a hands-on, interactive exhibition on the importance of the world’s forests. In this the UN Decade of Education for Sustainable Development 2005-2014, we are encouraged to make changes in our behaviour that will create a more sustainable future. This exhibition tells us why and how to.
The Wood of Life exhibition is suitable for pupils from 5th class up. If you are interested in bringing a class or group to the exhibition, please book with Thurles Library on 0504 29720. We will try our best to have a facilitator on hand for group visits. While schools are particularly encouraged to visit, the Wood of Life exhibition does have broad appeal and its message applies to us all. So do feel free to drop in and see what it’s all about.
The exhibition will be open to the public from 6th to 28th February 2008.
Check out the Wood of Life website for more information.
